Logo created for Welcome Home Magazine, a publication of News and Tribune. The magazine is targeted to people new to the Southern Indiana area and served as a guide to entertainment, schools, real estate and restaurants.

Living 50+ is a publication of The News and Tribune that is geared toward people over the age of, you guessed it, fifty. I gave the magazine a bold new look using bright colors, high contrast and current typography styles proving fun isn’t only for the young. I also refreshed the logo and created a color coded index.

Heart•Wood: The dense inner part of a tree trunk, resisting decay, yielding the strongest timber. This is the definition and basis of their brand of therapy and their mission to help people develop strong and resilient foundations like heartwood so that they may blossom. They wanted to nod to a “heart” without being cutesy or adolescent.

These large (4’ tall) banners feature my illustrations of the brands amazing chocolate and bourbon creations. The illustrations were done in oil markers on black boards. They hang in their location on Main Street in downtown Louisville, KY.

This was a product developed by an entrepreneur featuring a special molecular recipe including 8 unique ingredients for quick results regarding hair restoration for men. I played to the commonly seen scientific diagram of a molecule creating the 8.

I am tasked twice yearly to layout the bi-annual report for the board of directors for Connected Nation. This non-profit works hard to keep rural communities and marginalized people connected to high speed internet in their homes, schools and communities.

Obviously an old inclusion, however, I feel it is still relevant today for the showcasing of my Photoshop skills (which have only improved with time). Also, doing covers for LEO straight out of college is some of the most memorable times of my design career.

“Mokosh is the place where we hold space for your well-being, and guide you towards your goals of balance and vitality.” The owner of Mokosh knew what she wanted her business to be and somewhat knew what she wanted in a logo. Going from sketches she created, I was able to extract this design that turned out to be the exact perfect answer. I never mind collaborating with owners if they have a vision.

I have been lucky enough to have been entrusted with the ultra-fun work of creating several event posters in Louisville, KY. I have created the posters for the Va Va Vixens variety shows since they began performing in 2010 (I’m also a member of the troop!). I also lucked into a wonderful working relationship with Art Sanctuary, a local art studio and event venue, and they frequently use my design services for events hosted there.
